“At Crane and Norcross, we are all about conception to completion and I find the whole process satisfying.”

Kristen Farrell began her career at Crane and Norcross as a paralegal after graduating from the University of Notre Dame in 1991. While working full-time at Crane and Norcross, she attended night school at the John Marshall Law School in Chicago and was admitted to the Illinois Bar in 1995. Kristen has spent her entire legal career working at Crane and Norcross specializing solely in real estate tax appeals with extensive experience in tax exemption as well.

Kristen is passionate about writing briefs and truly enjoys and puts great effort into writing over-assessed property arguments that Crane and Norcross submits to various counties and administrative appeals boards. Kristen is very committed to listening to the clients of Crane and Norcross, addressing their concerns promptly and efficiently, and obtaining the results that meet the individual client’s expectations. She remains available to assist clients in completing the difficult paperwork required by the government to file real estate tax appeals.

Kristen works primarily in Cook, Lake, Kane, Will, and DuPage counties in Illinois, but she also represents clients in each of the other counties in Illinois. Kristen’s long-standing commitment to Crane and Norcross and years of achieving successful reductions of property taxes has made her a very experienced lawyer in the field of ad valorem taxation.

“I like working at Crane and Norcross due to its exceptional support staff of paralegals and secretaries. Our entire firm works very hard together as a team to complete our frequent deadlines and support our clients and each other. We have an extraordinary camaraderie at Crane and Norcross, which is one of the reasons I have stayed in one place for more than two decades.”
